Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana ‘not interested’ in Manchester United return
Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana is reportedly keen on making his Manchester United departure permanent.
The 29-year-old is currently with Trabzonspor on loan for the 2025/26 season, but the deal does not include an option to buy.
Despite that, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that both the player and United view his time at Old Trafford as effectively over.
“Man United and Andre Onana himself see his chapter at United as almost closed. It is very difficult to imagine Onana staying at United beyond this season. At this point, it feels like it’s over,” Romano said on his YouTube channel.
Onana slipped down the pecking order at United after losing his starting spot to Altay Bayındır, with summer signing Senne Lammens further limiting his chances.
As a result, the former Ajax and Inter Milan shot-stopper is focused on making a fresh start away from Old Trafford rather than attempting a comeback.
Already at Trabzonspor, he has made an impact in his first two matches, winning a Man of the Match award in his first game and providing an assist in his second.
