Raja Casablanca set to appoint South African coach Fadlo Davids as Lassaad Chabbi’s successor
Moroccan side Raja Casablanca is poised to name Fadlo Davids as the club’s new head coach, following the dismissal of Tunisian coach Lassaad Chabbi after the team’s draw in the clásico against AS FAR.
Davids brings a wealth of experience to the Moroccan giants, having led Tanzania’s Simba SC to the CAF Confederation Cup final, where they finished runners-up to RS Berkane.
The 44-year-old also served as an assistant to German coach Josef Zinnbauer at Raja two seasons ago, a campaign that saw the club clinch both the league title and the Throne Cup.
According to Moroccan media reports, Davids is expected to arrive in Casablanca with two assistants of his choice. Raja is set to cover his release clause from the Tanzanian side to secure his services.
