The coaching staff of Al-Masry Club, led by Captain Ali Maher, conducted a sports psychology lecture for the team players.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Wael Rafaai, a specialist in psychological preparation for athletes.
This initiative took place just before the commencement of the first football team’s training session at the Military College Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Dr. Wael Rafaai emphasized the significance of sports psychology in the holistic preparation of athletes, alongside their technical and physical training.
He delved into creating motivation among players, the importance of psychological preparation before, during, and after competitions.
Additionally, he discussed how to regulate behavior during competitions, develop players’ personal traits, and manage emotions without adversely affecting their performance and, consequently, the team’s overall performance.
This lecture marks the beginning of a series of talks and workshops organized by the coaching staff of Al-Masry Club under Captain Ali Maher’s leadership, focusing on mental preparation and training for the players.
It’s worth noting that Al-Masry Club has experienced several player absences, particularly in the match against the Contractors in the League Cup.
Among them is the Nigerian midfielder, Eze Emeka, who plays a crucial role in the team’s midfield.
Diagnostic radiology and medical examinations confirmed a partial tear in the internal knee ligament.
This condition necessitated plasma injections, followed by an intensive rehabilitation program, with his progress being regularly monitored.
