Mohamed Hamdy has shaken off concerns about his fitness and is set to feature for Pyramids FC when they take on Saudi giants Al Ahli in the Intercontinental Cup on September 23.

The left-back, who was forced off during the victory over Auckland City, has reassured the team with positive news.

A source within Pyramids FC told Kooora that Hamdy left the match against Auckland City of New Zealand yesterday, Sunday, due to muscle fatigue.

He explained that Hamdi will be available for the match against Al-Ahly of Saudi Arabia, stressing that the player will participate normally in the match against the Asian champions.

The same source highlighted that Pyramids will travel to Saudi Arabia on September 20, with the squad flying on a private plane piloted by club CEO Mamdouh Eid.

Pyramids opened their campaign in style with a 3-0 win over Auckland City at the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo. The win not only boosted morale but also gave the squad confidence ahead of their test against Al Ahli.
