Zamalek coach Yannick Ferreira was full of joy after watching his side secure a convincing 3-0 win over Al-Masry in the Egyptian Premier League on Saturday.

The Belgian coach praised the manner in which his team controlled the game, creating plenty of chances and insisting the margin could easily have been five goals.

Ferreira shared his delight with reporters, saying he would celebrate with his players on the flight back to Cairo before quickly shifting focus to the next challenge against Ismaily.

He explained that Zamalek benefited from a short break after facing Wadi Degla, followed by a friendly match that was below expectations. However, he credited the serious preparation leading up to the Al-Masry clash as the reason behind the impressive result.

Ferreira also dismissed speculation regarding Moroccan player Abdelhamid Maali’s absence from youth training, stressing the reports were not true. He praised Palestinian youngster Adam Kayed, describing him as versatile enough to perform on the wing and in different roles, though his substitution was due to limited recent minutes.

Ferreira concluded that the defensive unit deserved trust after another clean sheet, though adjustments remain possible.
