Ahmed Abdelkader receives new european offer as Al-Ahly awaits player's response

Ahmed Abdelkader has found himself at the center of important talks about his future with Al Ahly.

The talented winger recently sat down with the club’s football director, Walid Salah El-Din, in a meeting aimed at clearing the air and setting the path forward.

An Al Ahly source told Kooora that Salah El-Din reassured Abdelkader that his place in group training will not be in question and that he will remain involved regardless of whether his contract is extended. However, the director stressed that match participation cannot be guaranteed and is tied to contract status.

“Salah El-Din confirmed that Abdelkader’s participation in matches is linked to the contract, and therefore this is difficult and he must understand the matter,” the source said.

During the conversation, Abdelkader reportedly showed willingness to renew his deal but asked for an annual package worth 30 million Egyptian pounds along with assurance of regular playing time.

“Walid Salah revealed to the player that no one guarantees participation in the matches, and that he will return to the football management to demand financial compensation.”
