Chelsea are interested in signing talented teenager Alexis Vossah as an investment for the future.

Since BlueCo’s takeover in 2022, the Blues have made it a priority to recruit and nurture promising youngsters.

That ambition reached new heights this past summer when the club tabled what has been described as an “XXL bid” for the 17-year-old.

According to French outlet Le10Sport, Chelsea submitted an €8 million offer for Vossah, despite the fact that the teenager has yet to start a senior game for Toulouse and has only accumulated 49 minutes of first-team football.

However, the proposal was “immediately rejected,” with Vossah expected to sign his first professional contract with the Ligue 1 side.

Should Chelsea return for him, the earliest a move could materialise would be next summer when Vossah turns 18.

The Blues’ pursuit of Vossah highlights the growing reputation of Toulouse’s academy, which continues to produce highly rated players.

It is understood that Chelsea are tracking several other talents in France.
