Senegal international Krépin Diatta has emerged as a top transfer target for Turkish outfits, Besiktas and Trabzonspor.

The 26-year-old has been deemed as surplus to requirement at French Ligue 1 giants, AS Monaco, missing out on the opening three games of the campaign.

Diatta has struggled to even make the matchday squad, signaling a possible departure from the club despite the closure of the window.

With the Turkish window still open, Diatta could secure a move in the coming days, with Besiktas and Trabzonspor currently in active talks with Monaco for the attacker.

The Turkish are keen about Diatta’s versatility and are determined to secure his signature before the closure of the window on September 12.

He has just one year remaining on his contract at Monaco. The Principality club could, however, be open to allowing the forward to leave on a free transfer, in the event that they could have a significant sell-on percentage in the deal.

Both aforementioned Turkish clubs are now in talks with Diatta’s entourage in order to reach an agreement.

The 26-year-old winger has made 49 appearances for the Senegal national team, scoring two goals since his debut in 2019.
