It’s great to hear that the United Arab Emirates will host the Under-17 Football World Cup this year. The official mascot, named Shaqran the Falcon, was revealed in Dubai as part of the preparations for the tournament.
Four teams are set to participate in this U17 World Cup: Ivory Coast, the reigning African champions, Nigeria, Morocco, and Tunisia. The tournament, which will be the 15th edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, is scheduled to take place from October 17 to November 8. Matches will be held in six cities: Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Fujairah, Sharjah, and Ras Al Khaimah.
Hosting such international events provides a platform for young talents to showcase their skills and promotes the sport of football on a global scale. It also brings together nations in the spirit of competition and camaraderie.
