Marcel Koller, the head coach of Al Ahly’s first football team, is set to arrive in Cairo tomorrow, accompanied by his coaching staff, in preparation for leading the team’s training sessions.
Al Ahly is scheduled to resume its training on January 11, following the mandatory rest period granted to the team after returning from the Emirates, where they clinched the Egyptian Super Cup.
Marcel Koller maintains ongoing communication with Al Ahly’s officials to ensure all arrangements related to Wessam Abu Ali’s deal are in order.
Al Ahly has successfully concluded an agreement to acquire Wessam Abu Ali from Sweden’s Sirius for $2 million and an additional €750,000 in incentives.
The deal spans over five and a half seasons, commencing in January.
Insiders at Al Ahly reveal that Wessam Abu Ali, the highly anticipated addition to the team, will undergo thorough medical examinations upon his arrival in Cairo before officially announcing his signing for a four-and-a-half-season contract.
The player has previously undergone a comprehensive medical examination in Sweden, with an additional detailed examination scheduled in Cairo.
According to sources within Al Ahly, Abdalrahman Rashdan, a player from the team, will be part of the exchange deal with Future FC to finalize Omar Kamal Abdelwahid’s transfer to Al Ahly.
Rashdan will join Ahmed Khalid Bakka and Mohamed Abdullah in exchange for Omar Kamal Abdelwahid’s move to Al Ahly.
