Al Ahli Tripoli set record straight on Hussein El Shahat transfer talks
Al Ahli Tripoli has addressed growing talk about their interest in Al Ahly winger Hussein El Shahat, making it clear that no official negotiations have started.
The Libyan side, eager to strengthen ahead of the next phase, admitted El Shahat’s name is part of a wider plan but insisted nothing has been finalized.
“Hussein El-Shahat’s name is on a long list of potential players to support the team during the next phase,” a club source told Kooora.
“We are seeking to sign new players based on the wishes of Hossam El-Badry, the team’s technical director.”
With speculation surrounding the Egyptian star, Al Ahli Tripoli explained that timing is key. “We have not yet entered into negotiations to include El-Shahat, but that may happen in the coming period,” the source confirmed.
El Shahat’s current deal with Al Ahly runs until the end of this season, and officials in Cairo have yet to open renewal talks, fueling uncertainty about his future.
