Ticket sales open for Senegal’s World Cup qualifier against Sudan

Ticket sales open for Senegal’s World Cup qualifier against Sudan

The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has officially launched ticket sales for the highly anticipated 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying clash between Senegal and Sudan, scheduled for Thursday, 4 September 2025, at the Abdoulaye Wade Stadium in Diamniadio. Kick-off is set for 19:00 GMT.

Fans can now secure their seats through the FSF’s official online ticketing platform, with physical ticket sales set to begin on 30 August.

The announcement comes as excitement builds ahead of the crucial seventh-round fixture, which could play a decisive role in the Lions of Teranga’s qualification campaign.

Online reservations available

The FSF confirmed that supporters can reserve their tickets digitally, offering fans the convenience of purchasing seats in advance.

The federation has encouraged fans to make use of the platform early to avoid last-minute rushes, as demand for fixtures involving the reigning African champions has traditionally been high.

Ticket prices and seating categories are expected to cater to a wide range of supporters, ensuring accessibility for fans across different budgets. While full pricing details have not yet been disclosed, the FSF’s decision to open online sales first reflects a continued push towards modernising access for Senegalese football fans.

Physical sales from 30 August

In addition to the online system, ticket booths will open on Friday, 30 August, at designated points of sale across the country.

The FSF said this step is intended to make tickets widely available, particularly for supporters who may prefer in-person purchases or have limited access to online services.

The Abdoulaye Wade Stadium, which has hosted several high-profile international matches since its inauguration, is expected to be at full capacity for this World Cup qualifier.

The FSF has urged fans to plan ahead and secure tickets early, emphasising the importance of fan support in such a decisive fixture.

A crucial qualifier

The Lions of Teranga are preparing for a challenging encounter against a Sudanese side determined to secure points in their own qualification bid.

With both teams entering the seventh matchday of the CAF qualifiers, the stakes are high, and the Abdoulaye Wade Stadium is set to provide a vibrant backdrop for the contest.

Senegal, backed by a passionate home crowd, will be looking to continue their strong form in the qualification campaign as they aim to book their place at the 2026 World Cup.

Fans’ attendance is expected to create a formidable atmosphere, reinforcing the team’s home advantage.

FSF’s call to fans

In its announcement, the FSF appealed to supporters to show up in numbers and rally behind the national team.

The federation described the clash as a “decisive” encounter, calling for a sea of green, yellow, and red at the stadium to inspire the Lions of Teranga.

Tickets are anticipated to sell quickly as excitement grows around the fixture. The combination of early online availability and physical outlets is designed to ensure smooth access for fans, as Senegal looks to strengthen its grip on qualification in front of a packed home crowd.
