Ivorian international Wilfried Singo rejects Galatasaray as AS Monaco pushes exit

Wilfried Singo has turned down a proposed move to Galatasaray, leaving his future at AS Monaco in doubt as the transfer window nears its close.

According to L’Équipe, the 24-year-old Ivorian was expected in Istanbul on Tuesday to finalise a deal agreed in principle between the Turkish club and Monaco.

However, Singo refused the switch, halting the transfer at the last moment.

The defender appears to be out of favour in Monaco.

He was left on the bench during their 3-1 win over Le Havre on the opening day of Ligue 1 and has reportedly been told to find a new club before the deadline.

Monaco remain open to a sale but are demanding around €40m—far above the €9m they paid Torino in 2023.

Singo, who is contracted until June 2028 and valued at €25m by Transfermarkt, currently earns an annual salary of €1.84m.

The coming days will be decisive for the Ivorian international, with Monaco eager to resolve his situation before facing Lille in their next league fixture.
