Tottenham Hotspur have targeted Franco-Algerian winger Maghnes Akliouche as an alternative to Manchester City forward Savinho.
Akliouche, who has been tipped for a departure from Monaco this summer, has yet to secure a move in the current window.
The 23-year-old has attracted a significant interest across Europe, including German outfit Bayer Leverkusen. Meanwhile, Monaco’s €70m asking price has thus far deterred suitors.
However, the Premier League outfit has become the latest club to express interest in the attacker, targeting him as an alternative to number target Savinho.
Savinho remains the priority target for Thomas Frank’s side, however, Manchester City’s demands are proving difficult to meet.
Manchester City, who are seeking for £60m for the Brazilian, have already turned down two offers from Tottenham.
Akliouche is a viable alternative. Whilst Monaco still state that €70m is the asking price for the forward a deal could be reach for a lower figure of €55m.
The winger has been in the books of Monaco since 2022, with his current contract expected to expire in 2028.
