Riyad Mahrez feels the love as he reunites with Manchester City

Riyad Mahrez lit up Manchester City’s training ground with his surprise visit, bringing smiles and warm embraces from his old teammates and coach Pep Guardiola.

The Algerian winger, now shining for Al-Ahli Jeddah, dropped in ahead of City’s trip to Italy and was treated like he had never left.

Mahrez, who left the club in the summer of 2023, spent five trophy-laden seasons with the Sky Blues from 2018 to 2023. In that time, he netted 78 goals and provided 59 assists across 236 appearances, leaving an indelible mark on the team’s modern era.

City’s official channels shared clips of the reunion, with Rodri greeting him with a warm hug. French-Algerian winger Rayan Cherki also joined in, while Bernardo Silva and Guardiola beamed as they made their way to him.

Mahrez later posted a photo from the training pitch on Instagram with the caption “Family,” a nod to the lasting bond he shares with the club.
