A wave of concern has swept through the general assembly members of Zamalek Club, sparked by issues arising from the swimming pools within the prestigious sports facility.
Yesterday, Friday, multiple complaints emerged as club members reported their children experiencing severe coughing fits after leaving the pool, attributing it to an apparent increase in chemical levels and elevated water temperature.
Najwa Ahmed, a concerned parent, told “Al-Masry Al-Youm”: “Usually, things go smoothly without problems, but today there was a general complaint that all the children suffered from a severe cough after leaving the swimming pool.
When we all discussed it in the parents’ group.”
She clarified, “The children were also swimming in the morning during the exercise, and it was said that the chlorine level in the water was high.
Some said that the water level should cover the entire upper pool opening, and based on that, we accused the management of insufficient care, whether you have put a high percentage of chlorine or did not fill the pool well,” confirming a lapse in the club’s administration.
Attempts by “Al-Masry Al-Youm” to contact officials within Zamalek Club regarding the swimming pool issues were unsuccessful, as no response or acknowledgment was obtained.
