Top Palestinian forward Oday Ibrahim Mohammad Dabbagh is saddened by the retirement of Zamalek legend, Shikabala.
The 39-year-old legendary Egyptian attacker called it a quit at the end of the 2024/25 football campaign. Shikabala almost spent his entire career at Zamalek, marking 390 appearances, scoring 70 goals and delivering 89 assists.
However, the Palestinian forward, who recently joined Zamalek eulogized Shikabala, saying he wished he had played with him.
“My goal is to win all the titles with Zamalek. I am happy with the way I was received at the club. The fans sent me many messages, and I know they are hungry for titles. Zamalek was the most serious club in the negotiations, and the deal was concluded in three days.”
He continued: “Adam Kayed was the first player who spoke to me. I wished to play with Shikabala, and I am sad about his retirement, because he is a great legend” he said.
The White Castles are executing an aggressive effort to augment their squad for the upcoming 2025/26 football campaign.
He enjoyed an amazing performance last term for Royal Charleroi, making 31 appearances, scoring five goals and providing one assist.
Over the past few hours, Pyramids FC entered the race to sign Palestinian striker Adi Al-Dabbagh, but Zamalek’s management successfully clinched the deal.
