Liverpool reach formal agreement with Frankfurt to sign Franco-Cameroonian attacker Hugo Ekitike

Liverpool are edging closer to securing the services of France international of Cameroonian descent, Hugo Ekitike this summer.

The Premier League giants are keen on strengthening their attack for the upcoming 2025/26 football campaign, with Ekitike set to join the club.

Ekitike has established himself as one of the top strikers following an impressive performance for Frankfurt in the recently concluded campaign.

After a failed stint with Paris Saint-Germain, Ekitike reinvented himself in the Bundesliga with 22 goals and 12 assists in 48 matches during the 2024-2025 season.

Ekitike started his career with Reims, where he scored 11 goals in 26 games during his breakout season with Les Champenois before his move to PSG.

With Liverpool reaching formal agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt, the 23-year-old attacker is expected to finalize a move to the Reds in the coming days.

Following a fruitful talks between both parties, the talented attacker is set to join Liverpool for a transfer fee in the region of €95m, including add-ons.

Meanwhile, personal terms have already been agreed between the French striker and Liverpool. Ekitiké is set to sign a 6-year contract with the Merseyside outfit, which is set to keep him at Anfield until 2031.

The former Paris Saint-Germain forward will now travel to England to complete his medical before being officially unveiled as a new player.
