Napoli vice president Edoardo De Laurentiis has reportedly been subjected to death threats from a fan of Turkish club Galatasaray amid ongoing transfer speculation involving Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen, who spent last season on loan at Galatasaray and netted 26 goals, has rejected a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal.

Reports indicate the forward is only keen on securing a permanent move to Galatasaray this summer.

Despite Galatasaray’s initial bid being rejected by the Italian champions, tensions appear to have escalated.

According to Turkish journalist Samet Çayır, a disturbing exchange surfaced on WhatsApp in which a person claiming to be a Galatasaray supporter—and identifying as a member of the Turkish Mafia—threatened Edoardo De Laurentiis and his father, club president Aurelio De Laurentiis, demanding Osimhen’s transfer be completed or face “ugly consequences.”

Napoli are reportedly holding firm on their valuation of the striker, demanding the full €75 million release clause, with at least €50 million paid as a guaranteed fixed fee.
