Swiss Club FC Sion Targets Togolese Midfield Talent Ozouf Napo
Swiss football side FC Sion has turned its attention to a promising Togolese youngster, Ozouf Napo, who recently celebrated a Swiss Amateur League title with FC Vernier in the Inter Romand region. The 19-year-old midfielder, who arrived in Switzerland last winter, is already attracting interest thanks to his impressive performances.
Mohamed Outchiri, a former AS Douanes du Togo player, spoke highly of Napo’s potential. “He possesses all the qualities needed for a successful career: speed, technique, intelligence,” Outchiri said. “He still needs to take another step forward, but I am confident in his future.”
Following his championship success with FC Vernier, Napo is currently on trial with FC Sion until the end of the season, with the prospect of securing a professional contract if he continues to impress.
Known for his seamless technique, Napo combines physical strength with strong ball recovery skills, making him a versatile presence in midfield. FC Sion’s interest highlights the club’s commitment to nurturing young talent and their growing focus on scouting emerging players from West Africa.
For Napo, the trial represents a critical opportunity to step up to professional football and establish himself in European leagues.
