The Gabonese international defender is showing positive progress after undergoing surgery a month ago. The player, who represents Lorient, had suffered a rupture of the medial collateral ligament and the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during a match against Paris Saint-Germain on the first day of the French Ligue 1 championship.
In an update provided to the official website of the Breton club, the player shared, “I had surgery a month ago and I walk normally, without crutches. I don’t feel any pain. I have no particular apprehensions. So everything is fine.”
Unfortunately, this injury ruled the Gabonese player out of matches in the final round of the CAN 2013 qualifiers and a significant portion of the Ligue 1 season. However, his return to competition is anticipated for January 2013. The positive strides in his recovery are promising for both the player and his team.
