Jeff Radebe backs Dr. Patrice Motsepe to be elected ANC Presidential Candidate unopposed
Former Minister of Energy for South Africa, Jeff Radebe, has opined that billionaire Dr. Patrice Motsepe will be elected as the Presidential Candidate of the African National Congress (ANC) unopposed.
Dr. Motsepe, the President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), has received massive support from a coalition of politicians, business leaders and professionals to become the ANC’s presidential candidate ahead of its pivotal 2027 national conference.
Although there has also been some opposition to the idea of making Dr. Motsepe the leader of the party, Jeff Radebe believes the CAF President has sufficient backing from ANC members to secure a landslide victory.
“Almost 90% of the ANC Branches, Regions, Provinces and even the National leadership are unanimous with the fact that Dr Patrice Motsepe is the best candidate for the position of the ANC Presidency in 2027. He should be elected unopposed,” Jeff Radebe, who is a leading figure in the AN,C said in an interview.
Many in South Africa see the billionaire businessman as the right man to change their fortunes.
Beyond the ANC, there is the belief that Dr. Motsepe is adored in his country and will be voted as President if the ANC presents him as their candidate in the next general election.
