Trabzonspor legend Karadeniz hails ‘decisive weapon’ Salah after Besiktas victory

Trabzonspor legend Gokdeniz Karadeniz has praised Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah following his impressive performance in Trabzonspor’s 2-0 victory over Besiktas in the Turkish Super Lig on Monday evening.

Salah scored Trabzonspor’s second goal in the eighth-round encounter, justifying Karadeniz’s prediction that the Egyptian would be the team’s decisive weapon in the derby.

Speaking ahead of the match, Karadeniz highlighted Salah’s professionalism, fighting spirit and ability to adapt quickly to life at Trabzonspor, insisting that the forward has been an excellent addition to the squad.

“Salah is an excellent addition to Trabzonspor. His lifestyle, high professionalism, and fighting spirit on the field all confirm that he was the right choice. Perhaps there is no other player of Salah’s caliber who could have adapted to the atmosphere of Trabzon so quickly,” Karadeniz said, as reported by Turkish platform 61saat.

The former Trabzonspor star also praised the Egyptian’s influence beyond his goals, pointing to his mentality and the positive impact he has had on his teammates.

“Based on what I see, working with Salah is something anyone would wish for. He is a player who completely transforms the team, not only through his goals, but also thanks to his professional mentality that quickly spreads to everyone around him,” he added.

Salah’s contribution against Besiktas further underlined his growing importance to Trabzonspor, as the Egyptian continues to deliver in front of goal and establish himself as one of the standout performers in the Turkish top flight.

The forward now leads the Turkish Super Lig scoring chart with eight goals after eight rounds of competition.

His growing popularity was also evident during Monday’s encounter, with Trabzonspor supporters displaying a special banner featuring Salah riding an eagle, a reference to Besiktas’ club symbol.

The victory over Besiktas provides another boost for Trabzonspor, with Salah’s goalscoring form and professionalism continuing to attract praise from club legends and supporters alike.
