Hamada Anwar, the former administrative manager of Zamalek Club, has unveiled a significant surprise regarding the ongoing winter transfer window, which commenced at the beginning of the new year 2024 and was initially set to conclude at the end of January.
In a television statement, Hamada Anwar, the former administrative manager of Zamalek, remarked, “The circumstances favor Zamalek, and there is a new development that will serve Zamalek well.
FIFA has sent to all federations the possibility of extending the registration period by two months.
This means that the period will be extended until February, not just January, in the winter transfer market.”
Football Association Approves Extension
He added, “This is an optional decision, and Egypt is one of the countries that agreed to extend the registration period until February.”
He concluded, “This will give Zamalek an opportunity for signings for 60 days, not just one month, and the Football Association has assisted the clubs in extending the registration period.”
