The Ethics Committee, affiliated with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, has issued sanctions against Fouzi Jamal, the coach of Mouloudia Oujda, in connection with the incidents that occurred during the match against Wydad Casablanca, corresponding to the seventh round of the Inwi Pro League.
According to a statement from the federation, the Ethics Committee convened and decided to suspend Fouzi Jamal for three effective matches while imposing a fine of 20,000 dirhams.
The sanctions were levied due to his accusation of the refereeing team that officiated the match against Wydad Casablanca, alleging “conspiracy and bribery.”
The match, which took place on a league matchday, stirred controversy as accusations of referee bias surfaced, leading to an investigation by the Ethics Committee.
The decision to suspend the Mouloudia Oujda coach reflects the seriousness with which such allegations are taken in football.
The committee’s ruling not only bans Jamal from the sidelines for three matches but also sends a clear message about the consequences of making unfounded accusations against match officials.
The financial penalty accompanying the suspension further emphasizes the importance of maintaining ethical standards within the sport.
