Orlando Pirates to kick off pre-season on June 27 after appointing Abdeslam Ouaddou as new head coach
South African giants Orlando Pirates will commence pre-season preparations for the 2025/26 campaign on June 27.
The club confirmed the date in an official statement on Monday, June 23, after announcing the appointment of former Moroccan player Abdeslam Ouaddou as the new head coach.
According to the South African club, the team will travel to Spain for their pre-season.
During their pre-season training tour, Orlando Pirates are scheduled to play some high-profile friendly matches against Bolton Wanderers, Pafos FC, Las Palmas, and Granada.
“Pre-season preparations will officially kick off on June 27.
“As part of preparations for the upcoming campaign, Orlando Pirates will embark on their third consecutive international pre-season tour to Marbella, Spain. The training camp – set to run from July 8 to July 20, will see the team engage in high-level friendly matches against European opponents including Bolton Wanderers (England), Pafos FC (Cyprus), Las Palmas (Spain), and Granada (Spain),” Orlando Pirates announced.
The training tour which will be led by coach Abdeslam Ouaddou is expected to help Orlando Pirates prepare adequately for the next football season.
