2025 Club World Cup: Al Ahly commence preparations for must-win encounter against FC Porto
Egyptian giants Al Ahly have commenced preparations for their last group match at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
The club has so far played two matches in the competition. The North African side opened their campaign at the tournament with a goalless stalemate against Inter Miami of the United States.
On Thursday, Al Ahly played against Palmeiras of Brazil and suffered a 2-0 defeat at the end of the contest.
The team must now beat FC Porto in the last round of games in Group A to have any chance of advancing to the knockout stage of the competition.
Today, Al Ahly have returned to training to immediately begin preparations for that tough match against FC Porto.
The game against the Portuguese opponent is scheduled to be played on Tuesday, June 24, at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 4 pm.
