Arnold Mvuemba Keeps Fighting Spirit Despite Limited Game Time at Lyon
Everything may not have gone according to plan this season for Arnold Mvuemba, but the Olympique Lyonnais midfielder is maintaining a professional and determined attitude. Having started the campaign on the bench, the Franco-Congolese player managed to make the most of opportunities created by injuries and absences in the squad. Yet, with Lyon now boasting a full roster and no European competitions to stretch the squad depth, Mvuemba’s time on the pitch has once again become limited.
Despite these challenges, the former FC Lorient midfielder refuses to give up or complain. Instead, he continues to approach every training session and match with the right mindset.
“Like any player, I would like to be on the pitch all the time. There is a boss, in this case the coach, who makes choices, and you have to deal with them,” Mvuemba told Lyon Capitale.
“My duty is to give the best of myself in training and when I play in matches. I have to keep doing the job.”
Set to turn 30 in January, Mvuemba has already played 14 matches in Ligue 1 this season—just three short of his best total since joining Lyon. His perseverance is a testament to his professionalism and commitment, even as he patiently waits for his next big opportunity to prove himself once more.
