GALATASARAY: PRANDELLI SACKED AFTER CHAMPIONS LEAGUE ELIMINATION
Cesare Prandelli’s adventure with Galatasaray has come to an end. According to the Turkish daily Hürriyet, the former Italy national team coach has been dismissed by the club’s management following Galatasaray’s 2-0 loss to Anderlecht on Wednesday night in the UEFA Champions League — a result that confirmed the team’s elimination before the final group match.
Prandelli, who took charge of the Turkish giants after resigning from the Italian national team post-World Cup 2014, failed to leave a mark in Europe and in domestic competitions. His official dismissal is expected to be announced this Thursday.
