Fodé Ballo-Touré’s future at Le Havre AC remains unresolved, with just days left before his current contract with the Ligue 1 club comes to an end.
The Senegal international joined Le Havre in January on a short-term six-month deal but has yet to determine his next move as the June 30 expiry date looms.
Despite contributing to the club’s efforts in the latter half of the season, no decision has been reached regarding a possible extension or departure.
Speaking to Foot Mercato, Le Havre’s Sporting Director Mathieu Bodmer confirmed that negotiations are ongoing but inconclusive.
“The cases of Fodé Ballo-Touré and André Ayew, whose contracts also end at the end of June, have still not been resolved,” Bodmer stated, shedding light on two of the club’s most pressing personnel decisions ahead of the summer transfer window.
Ballo-Touré, who arrived during the winter transfer window, was seen as a stopgap solution to reinforce the team’s defensive depth.
Though his experience and versatility brought stability to the back line, it remains unclear whether Le Havre are willing to commit to a long-term agreement.
The 27-year-old, a former AS Monaco and AC Milan player, boasts considerable experience at both club and international levels.
His six-month tenure in Normandy came after a lack of consistent playing time in Italy, and his move to France was viewed as an opportunity to relaunch his career.
However, the uncertainty surrounding his future is not isolated.
Fellow high-profile signing André Ayew also faces an ambiguous situation, with Bodmer revealing that contract talks with the Ghanaian international remain unresolved as well.
