Newly promoted English Premier League side, Leeds United, have completed the signing of German striker of Nigerian descent Lukas Nmecha.
The club announced the acquisition of the former on Sunday, June 15, stating that he has signed a two-year deal.
Lukas Nmecha has signed for Leeds United, ending his stay in Germany, where he played for VfL Wolfsburg.
“Leeds United are delighted to announce Lukas Nmecha has agreed to join the club on an initial two-year contract when his current deal expires at VfL Wolfsburg.
“The 26-year-old forward will officially become a Leeds United player on July 1st and is the first confirmed arrival for Daniel Farke’s side of the summer transfer window, having spent the last four years playing in the Bundesliga.
“Having fought off competition from other Premier League sides for his services, everyone at Leeds United looks forward to welcoming Lukas to Elland Road,” Leeds United announced on Sunday.
Lukas Nmecha has already shared his excitement after completing the move and is now eager to get started at the new club.
