Iya Mohammed, the president of Fecafoot (Cameroonian Football Federation), was banned from leaving Cameroon. He was stopped at Douala airport when attempting to travel to France. Authorities confiscated his passport, and when questioned, he stated that he was unaware of the reasons behind the travel ban. Iya Mohammed is currently involved in a financial scandal concerning 9 billion CFA francs (approximately 13,720,400 euros) related to Sodecoton, the Cotton Development Company of Cameroon, where he holds the position of General Manager.
