The national football team of Niger is set to face Portugal in a friendly match scheduled for June 1 at the General Seyni Kountché Stadium. The match is sponsored by Unicef, and the proceeds will be donated to the foundation of Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo. The foundation supports a reintegration program for young people facing difficulties. This friendly encounter is also seen as an opportunity for Niger to prepare for the return match against Burkina Faso in the World Cup qualifiers for Brazil 2014.
