Germany-born attacker of Nigerian descent Lukas Nmecha is close to officially leaving VfL Wolfsburg.
The forward is set to become a free agent this summer when his contract with the German Bundesliga club expires on June 30.
Although it was uncertain if the player would stay or leave Wolfsburg before the 2024/25 football season ended, it has now become clear that he is heading towards a departure.
Lukas Nmecha is reported to have turned down a contract extension offer and wants to explore a different challenge next season.
According to sources, the 26-year-old has an offer from two clubs already; one from a club in the Bundesliga and an offer from England.
Lukas Nmecha is expected to assess his options with his representatives in the coming weeks and will decide his next destination once his contract with Wolfsburg officially expires at the end of this month.
