The Gabonese sporting public is gearing up for a significant debate on Gabonese television, akin to a presidential election, between the two candidates vying for the presidency of FEGAFOOT (Gabonese Football Federation). Pierre-Alain Mouguengui and Jean de Dieu Moukagni will engage in discussions with Gabon Television journalists, presenting their programs and answering questions.
Jean de Dieu Moukagni, the vice-president of the outgoing office, emphasizes a focus on training, including youth, coaches, and staff, and aims to create a 4th and 5th division. His vision includes hosting the U17 CAN in 2015, the CAN U20 in 2017, and the CAN in 2017 on the Global Football Concept.
Pierre-Alain Mouguengui, a former referee, plans to reorganize FEGAFOOT headquarters, manage transparent and loyal relations with the state, support LINAF in professionalizing elite football, establish provincial capitals as centers of decentralization for football activity, and develop partnerships while outsourcing certain functions. The election is scheduled for March 27.
