Egyptian giants Zamalek SC is set to hold a face-to-face meeting with Pitso Mosimane to take over the club as the head coach.
Zamalek are in search of a new coach following the dismissal of Jose Peseiro.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns gaffer has been strongly linked to Zamalek as revealed by AfricaSoccer.com.
Mosimane is currently unattached after parting ways with Iranian club Esteghlal FC in January this year due to financial issues.
However, the experienced South African gaffer is set to hold a crucial meeting with the leadership of Zamalek to finalise contractual details.
“Mosimane welcomed coaching Zamalek in the coming period,” a source said, according to Eremnews.com.
“A meeting will be held with the South African coach to determine the salary.
“Once all contractual matters are approved, the contracts will be officially signed and his appointment as coach of the Whites will be announced.
“Zamalek has set a fee of $80,000 (R1,4 million) to $100,000 (R1,7 million) to hire a new foreign coach to succeed Ayman El-Ramady.”
Recently, reports have claimed that Mosimane is demanding a salary of $180,000 to take the role.
Mosimane, a three-time CAF Champions League winner, remains a highly sought-after coach on the continent, and his potential return to Egyptian football is being closely watched.
