Spanish outfit Real Sociedad have set sights in securing the services of Nigeria international Christantus Uche ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 22-year-old has attracted interest from several clubs following an outstanding campaign with fellow Spanish club Getafe. His performances overshadowed Getafe’s inconsistent results in the campaign.
After an impressive debut season in La Liga, where Uche made 33 appearances and contributed to 10 goals (four goals and six assists), Real Sociedad has turned their attention on the Nigeria youngster.
Real Sociedad are eager to secure Uche’s signature and finally bring him to San Sebastián after two unsuccessful attempts
Uche has been in the radar of Sociedad since last summer. However, all attempts to snatch the highly-rated midfielder have proved futile.
Real Sociedad made offers to Getafe last summer and in the winter transfer windows, but a move was turned down by Getafe.
Uche’s current contract, which includes a €25 million release clause, runs until the summer of 2028, and it appears that Getafe is not planning to negotiate on the midfielder’s price.
