Five EPL clubs line up to compete for Spanish-Ghanaian forward Nico Williams’ signing
As many as five clubs in the English Premier League have been linked with a move for Spanish forward of Ghanaian descent, Nico Williams.
The clubs include Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Newcastle United.
Nico Williams, 22, has been a transfer target of some of Europe’s elite clubs since two transfer windows ago.
The Athletic Club forward since last season has impressed with his performances and is regarded as one of the most exciting wingers in Europe.
Although he has not been as explosive this season as he was last season in La Liga, he has still performed fairly well.
In the season set to end shortly, Nico Williams scored five goals and provided two assists after making 13 appearances in the Europa League. In La Liga, he has five goals and five assists after making 30 appearances for Athletic Club.
Heading into the summer transfer window, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Newcastle United are all looking at signing Nico to strengthen their squads.
It is important to note that Williams turned down the chance to join Arsenal and Barcelona last summer in favour of Athletic Club, where he signed a new long-term deal.
