Adel Boulbina’s standout performances in Algeria’s top flight have ignited a fierce battle among several European clubs, with the 22-year-old Paradou AC forward edging closer to a potential transfer to Portugal.
Boulbina, who has enjoyed a prolific campaign for Paradou AC, has caught the eye of scouts across Europe and the Gulf region.
Paradou AC’s management has recently fielded multiple enquiries from agents representing top European sides.
Among those reportedly monitoring the situation are Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam and Heerenveen, France’s Brest, Hull City and Burnley from England, Club Bruges in Belgium, and Portugal’s Sporting Lisbon.
“Ajax Amsterdam, Heerenveen of the Netherlands, Sporting Lisbon of Portugal, Brest of France, Hull City of England, and even Burnley of England, and Club Bruges of Belgium,” the official revealed. “They are all looking to sign Adel Boulbina.”
The growing interest comes on the back of an impressive season that has seen Boulbina score 15 goals and provide six assists in 24 league matches.
The attacker has also featured twice in the Algerian Cup, adding another assist to his tally.
These figures have helped Boulbina establish himself as one of the most exciting young forwards in North African football.
Having already earned recognition at international level with Algeria, Boulbina’s market value has surged.
Paradou AC initially placed a €2 million valuation on their top scorer, but the price is expected to rise as interest continues to mount.
“His value is expected to increase as he moves closer to the first team,” the official noted. “The Portuguese league is the most likely destination at the moment, but we have not yet made a final decision on Boulbina’s future. The offers we are receiving are multiplying. We will make the final decision in June, and it will be balanced to ensure the player’s sporting objectives and a significant financial return for our team.”
Since making his professional debut in August 2021, Boulbina has been a consistent presence in the Paradou AC starting eleven.
Reaching 100 appearances in Algeria’s top division by the age of 22 is a rare feat, and one that underscores his maturity and development.
With Sporting Lisbon reportedly leading the chase, a move to the Portuguese Primeira Liga could provide the perfect platform for Boulbina to further his career ambitions on the European stage.
