Bayern Munich have reportedly contacted Athletic Club over a move to sign Spain forward of Ghanaian descent, Nico Williams.
According to media reports in Spain, the German Bundesliga champions have triggered the release clause of the attacker and are keen on bringing him to the Allianz Arena in the summer transfer window.
Williams is one of the most sought-after players heading into the transfer window following his outstanding performance for Athletic Bilbao.
Since making his debut in 2021 for Athletic Bilbao, the 22-year-old has established himself as a key member of the team, scoring 31 goals in 164 appearances. This season, he has 11 goals in 42 games.
Williams, who opted to represent Spain over Ghana, has emerged as a top transfer target for Arsenal as the Gunners seek to bolster their attack.
Despite expressing interest, the club has yet to make an official offer.
The enterprising attacker is now torn over whether to join Arsenal or stay at Athletic Bilbao this summer should the Premier League giants submit an offer.
With Bayern Munich joining the race, Arsenal will need to step up if they want to sign Williams this summer.
