Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior found himself on the receiving end of some playful taunts from Barcelona fans during Sunday’s dramatic 4-3 El Clasico defeat.
The Brazilian forward, who has often been a target for rival supporters, requested a substitution in the 88th minute, citing an ankle issue, as Real pushed for a late equaliser at the Montjuic.
Vinicius, who has Cameroonian roots, made way for young prospect Victor Munoz, who was handed his debut by coach Carlo Ancelotti.
As the 22-year-old slowly made his way off the pitch, Barcelona fans seized the moment to mock him with chants of ‘Beach d’Or, Beach d’Or’ – a reference to his frustration over being snubbed for this year’s Ballon d’Or shortlist.
Adding to the playful scene, one Barcelona supporter even waved a small beach ball at the departing winger, sparking a brief exchange, with Vinicius seen laughing off the lighthearted jibes.

Vinicius and his Real Madrid teammates notably skipped the Ballon d’Or ceremony in October, reportedly after learning that Manchester City star Rodri would claim the top prize ahead of the Brazilian.
The 24-year-old winger, still seemingly stung by the snub, couldn’t resist reacting to the playful taunts from Barcelona fans during Sunday’s El Clasico.
One Cule waved a mini beach ball at him as he made his way to the bench, drawing a smirk and a few words from the Real Madrid ace.
It’s not the first time Vinicius has taken the bait over his Ballon d’Or frustration. In December, he clapped back at Rayo Vallecano fans who taunted him with similar chants following a 3-3 draw.
Frustrated, Vinicius fired back, telling the home supporters, “You’re going down to Segunda,” a pointed dig at the club’s relegation battle this season.
