Borussia Dortmund manager Niko Kovac was full of praise for German-Nigerian attacker Karim Adeyemi on Saturday after scoring in the team’s big win over VfL Wolfsburg in the German Bundesliga.
Adeyemi missed out on a starting role on the matchday but was substituted into the game in the 67th minute.
After coming on, the talented winger put up an outstanding display and scored a sensational brace to put the game to bed.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Niko Kovac praised Karim Adeyemi for finishing off the game for Dortmund on the matchday.
“I know what he can do offensively. I always say there are starters and finishers. He came on today and finished the game,” the coach told SPORT1.
He added, “I know what he can’t do defensively with his backwards movement.”
Dortmund are hoping for a strong finish to the 2024/25 German Bundesliga campaign to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
