Al Ahly gear up for another important boost as Slovenian forward Nejc Gradisar is cleared to play against Petrojet in the third round of the Egyptian Premier League.
The club’s technical team confirmed Nejc Gradisar’s full fitness after he completed Monday’s training session without any trouble. The Slovenian striker had picked up an injury during the second leg of the African Champions League semi-final against Sundowns but has now made a strong recovery.
“Gradisar is fully fit and participated in today’s training session,” a source told Kooora.
Meanwhile, Al Ahly will have to navigate the match without four players. Yahya Atiyatullah and Karim Al Dabis remain sidelined with injuries.
“Yahya Atiyatullah and Karim Al Dabis will continue to miss the game due to injury,” the source added.
Karim Fouad and Reda Selim are also unavailable, continuing their rehabilitation as they work their way back to action.
The squad will finalize preparations with a training session tomorrow, after which interim coach Emad El Nahas will select his team for a closed camp ahead of Wednesday’s match in Cairo.
