Ahmed Fatouh made it clear he has no plans to leave Zamalek, even after a tough period caused by a former teammate.
Speaking in a TV interview, the defender said the trouble between him and captain Mahmoud Shikabala came from a “malicious player” who has since departed.
“Shikabala is a great player and a leader that we always learn from, I love him a lot, and he always stands by me,” Fatouh said.
He added that the player falsely told him Shikabala spoke badly about him, sparking tension that has now been resolved.
Fatouh showed support for Shikabala’s possible move to the Libyan league, wishing him a big contract after years of loyal service to Zamalek.
He also praised Abdullah Al-Saeed, calling him the team’s most valuable player at the moment.
Regarding Ahmed Sayed Zizou’s likely exit after his contract ends in 2025, Fatouh said fan frustration is normal.
He made it clear he has no interest in joining Al Ahly, reaffirming his love for Zamalek.
Fatouh admitted one close friend let him down badly, ending their friendship for good.
