Real Madrid may have left Getafe with a hard-fought win, but injuries to two key players raised fresh concerns.
Thankfully for fans, David Alaba’s knock appears to be a minor setback.
Journalist Arancha Rodriguez reported that the Austrian defender’s injury isn’t serious. “If he feels well in training tomorrow, he could travel to Sevilla,” she shared.
This update will bring relief to Carlo Ancelotti, who’s hoping to have Alaba available for the Copa del Rey final. Alaba has only recently returned from a long spell on the sidelines after a cruciate ligament injury kept him out for the first half of the season. Though still working toward his best form, his experience and leadership remain vital for Los Blancos.
Meanwhile, Eduardo Camavinga wasn’t as lucky. The club confirmed he suffered a complete tear to his adductor tendon and is ruled out for the rest of the season.
Alaba’s current deal with the Spanish giants runs until next year, and Real will be hoping he can stay fit and help push for silverware.
