Medeama SC announces new head coach

كابور2023 12 27 22 53

Medeama SC, the Ghanaian football club, has officially revealed its new head coach, appointing Bosnian tactician, Nebojša Kapur, to lead the team, succeeding Evans Augustine Adotey.

The announcement, made via the club’s official website, discloses that Kapur, a 37-year-old Bosnian coach, has signed a one-year contract with an option to extend for an additional two years.

Nebojša Kapur is no stranger to Ghanaian football, having previously worked with TEMA Youth and Bechem United.

Expressing his excitement about joining Medeama, Kapur stated, “I am very happy to be here and contribute to the team’s journey.

This is an ambitious club, and I am pleased with everything happening here.”

“I have a good idea about the talent at the club, and we hope to make it more prominent. We can compete for titles this season, and we will see how things unfold,” Kapur added.

The newly appointed coach emphasized the collective nature of the mission, saying, “As I mentioned, it’s a collective task, and we hope this club achieves glory.”

Medeama SC currently competes in Group D of the CAF Champions League alongside Al Ahly, Young Africans, and ES Sétif.

The team, leading Group D with 5 points, has a pending match, competing neck and neck with Young Africans, both having played four matches.

Medeama SC and ES Sétif hold the third and fourth positions, each with 4 points, promising an intense battle for advancement in the competition.

As Nebojša Kapur assumes the coaching role, expectations are high for Medeama SC to make a significant impact in both local and continental football.
