Moroccan attacker, Hakim Ziyech has made a donation of food items to support people in Gaza in the wake of the humanitarian catastrophe they are experiencing.
According to reports, the former Chelsea and Ajax winger sent food and supplies to 300,000 people through UNICEF’s humanitarian aid foundation.
Ziyech donated a large part of his salary from the Turkish club to help those affected by the recent events in Gaza, added the reports.
Ziyech, who now plays for Qatari club Al-Duhail has been a known supporter of Palestinian cause and has been vocal about his condemnation of Israel’s genocidal war against Gazans.
In September, the Atlas Lion even took to his social media to criticize the Moroccan government and other countries for supporting Israeli actions in Gaza.
“Let’s make one thing clear ..!! F*** Israel and every other country that supports this kind of behaviour. Free Palestina,” Ziyech said, commenting on a disturbing video that shows Israeli soldiers pushing the lifeless bodies of Palestinians off rooftops after killing them in the West Bank.
He later posted another story on Instagram saying that his last story “was also for the government of our own country [Moroccan flag] who supports genocide and all the other countries that are supporting that.”
“Shame on you. Enough is enough,” Ziyech added, as he urged Moroccans and people across the world to speak up in solidarity with Palestine.
