Moroccan defender, Mahmoud Bentayek has expressed his excitement and joy after signing a new contract with Egyptian side, Zamalek.

The left-back signed a new long-term deal until 2028.

“The negotiations with Zamalek didn’t take long and were easy, both with my agent and with Ahmed Hossam Mido, a member of the football planning committee,” Benteke told the club’s media on Wednesday.

“The Zamalek fans’ love for me and the mutual respect between us made it easy to renew my contract.”

Benteke spoke about his ambitions with the team, saying: “My goal and that of all the Zamalek players is to win all possible titles, to please the fans who have continuously supported us through thick and thin.”

“Zamalek is a great team that competes for all the tournaments it participates in.

“I thank the Zamalek fans for their support and assistance in the past period, and I hope to live up to their expectations,” he added.

Bentayek has so far scored just a goal in two appearances for Zamalek.
