Borussia Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha is on the path to recovery following a knee ligament injury sustained in late January.
The midfielder has been documenting his rehabilitation journey, culminating in the upcoming release of his YouTube documentary, “The Way Back,” on March 16.
Reflecting on the injury during a match against Werder Bremen, Nmecha remarked, “I thought I had more time.” BVB coach Niko Kovac emphasized the importance of patience, stating, “It takes time, but he is the future of this club.”
Prior to his injury, Nmecha was a key player for Dortmund. In the 2024–25 season, he made 19 Bundesliga appearances, scoring two goals and providing one assist. In the UEFA Champions League, he contributed one goal and one assist over seven matches. Across all competitions, Nmecha accumulated 27 appearances, three goals, and two assists.
His current market value stands at €28 million, reflecting his significance to the team.
Eager to return, Nmecha expressed, “I’m really looking forward to being back on the field.” His comeback could play a pivotal role in Dortmund’s season finale.
