Portuguese-Guinea-Bissau winger Roger Fernandes has emerged as a transfer target for Premier League giants Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window.
Fernandes, 19, has performed admirably for Braga in the ongoing season, scoring three goals and providing three assists in 24 matches in the Portuguese top-flight.
In all competitions, the young Portuguese-Guinea Bissau talent has indeed blossomed at Braga. He has scored five goals and provided five assists in 44 matches across all competitions.
His outstanding performance has caught the attention of Manchester United, who are seeking to secure his signature to bolster their squad.
Fernandes is considered an alternative to Sporting CP’s 17-year-old winger Geovany Quenda, who might turn out to be too expensive an option for the Red Devils.
Manchester United have been inconsistent this season and are currently 14th on the Premier League table, accumulating just 34 points from 28 matches.
The Red Devils are expected to storm the market to augment their squad in attempt to revive their performance next season.
